Paper Copy Requirement (Appellate Courts only)

The Supreme Court judicial order, Electronic Filing System in the Appellate Courts, outlines the general rules and policies for filing electronically in the state's highest courts.

Specific to paper copies, Section II, Item (I) of this order directs all electronic filers to submit at least one paper copy of all PACFiled documents to the appropriate court within seven days of the electronic transmission. The exact number of copies that must be submitted varies based on the Appellate Court and the type of document filed. Use the links below to view the appropriate Appellate Court website and their individual rules regarding paper copy requirements:

To ensure that the paper version submitted is the same as the electronically filed document, they must be hardcopies of the electronically stamped version that is created when the court accepts the corresponding filing. All submitters are immediately notified of the availability of their electronically stamped version through a notification. A Filing Accepted notification represents the court's acceptance of a filing and it features a link to view and print the corresponding documents.
